The Rubio-Villas family owns 15 hectares of vineyards distributed by the municipality of Cordovín, La Rioja (Spain), controlling the production of another 50 hectares from vine growers in the area who traditionally have been supplying the grapes to the winery since the beginning of the season. The main varieties are Tempranillo and Garnacha in Sis Reds and Viura and Garnacha for darets. The vineyard has an average age of 30 years, while the younger vineyards are over 15 years old. The control of the vineyard is carried out by the technical management of the winery that supervises together all the plots. The vineyard is planted in terrain formed by clays and sandstones of reddish tones with alluvial funds, the characteristic “gravel”, at an altitude ranging from 580 to 650 meters and with an annual pluviométrtrica between 350-600 mm.
